Located in the borough of Media, Pennsylvania, the Media Elementary School playground is the heart of our community. The Playground Renovation Project aims to improve upon this already special place by replacing the current playground structures with components that will keep kids of all ages and abilities occupied, excited and stimulated.

What does the playground renovation encompass?
We intend to renovate the entire playground—including equipment and surface—while keeping safety and aesthetics in mind.
How much money needs to be raised for the playground renovation?
The estimated cost is $400,000. We can begin the first phase of the renovation after raising $150,000. See the cost of the project broken down by phase.
What is the timeline for completion?
The timeline would depend upon how quickly we can raise the funds for the project. Our hope is to have the renovation complete by the fall of 2019.
What company will do the renovation?
We are partnering with Kompan, the world's number-one playground supplier with over 40 years experience delivering fun and engaging playgrounds . They develop, produce, and market an extensive range of playground equipment that covers all age groups. Read more about Kompan.
Will all the current playground equipment be replaced?
Yes, the goal is to replace all existing playground equipment.
What will the surface of the playground be?
The plan is to have the surface updated as part of the renovation, but the exact nature of the surface hasn't been determined yet.
Will the basketball court remain?
We intend to have a basketball court.
Will the current trees and bushes remain?
Trees and bushes will only be removed if they are deemed unsafe for the playground, which includes interfering with clear sight lines.
